Sword Of The Spirit by Tamer and Cindy Elsharouni

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; (Eph 6:10-18)

Just as Heaven is real, but we don’t see it with our eyes right now – in the same way, there is so much going on in the spirit realm all around us!  We are in the midst of a war – unseen though it may be.  We are under attack.  We must always act in love toward all people, but we must begin to put on the whole armor of God daily and pray – standing in the gap for our children, our family, friends, towns, cities, counties, states and nations.  We must seek God’s face and seek to live righteously in His eyes, asking for His mercy.

If My people, which are called by My name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. (2Ch 7:14)

I encourage you to consider joining with others who are praying such as:  Texas Apostolic Prayer Network and Heartland Apostolic Prayer Network.

Here is a prayer I am going to pray, based on Daniel’s prayer for Israel and Jerusalem in Daniel 9:3-19.  Won’t you join me?

“I set my face unto You, oh Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fastings.  Oh Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love You, and to them that keep Your commandments, we have sinned, and we have committed iniquity, and we have done wickedly, and we have rebelled, even by departing from Your precepts and Your judgments.  We have not listened toYour servants, which have spoken in Your name to our government officials and to all of us.  Oh Lord, righteousness belongs to You, but we are embarrassed before You because of our trespasses that we have trespassed against You, Oh Lord.   We are shamed before You, Oh Lord, because we have sinned against You.  Oh Lord our God, to You belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against You and not obeyed Your voice, to walk in Your ways, which You set before us by Your servants the prophets.  Yes, Lord, we have all transgressed Your law, by not obeying Your voice; therefore the curse is poured upon us, because we have sinned against You.   You have confirmed Your Word by bringing upon us all this evil,  yet we have not made our prayer before You, our LORD and our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand Your Truth.  You are righteous, oh LORD our God in all Your works which You do,  for we have not obeyed Your voice.  And now, O Lord our God, that brought our fathers into this good land with many mighty miracles, formerly published abroad, we confess that we have sinned, and we have done wickedly.  Oh Lord, according to all Your righteousness, I beseech You, let Your anger and Your fury be turned away from our people, our towns, cities, counties, states and nations.  Now therefore, Oh Lord our God, hear our prayers, and our supplications, and cause Your face to shine again upon our land, now dry and desolate.  Oh my God, incline Your ear, and hear; open Your eyes, and see our desolations, and the land You once blessed.  We do not present our supplications before You because we are righteous, but because Your mercy is great.  Oh Lord, hear our prayers!  Oh Lord, forgive us!  Oh Lord, please help us to turn from our wicked ways and seek Your face that You may have mercy on us and heal our land!  Please make us a lighthouse to the world again!”

May God bless you and protect you as you stand in the gap for your children, family, friends, towns, cities, counties, states and nations.

The Best Thing About Heaven!

The best thing about Heaven is that it is NOT a fairy tale – it’s a REAL place!

One of my favorite movies is “Ever After“, where Drew Barrymore, as a Cinderella type character, meets her charming prince, he falls in love with her and finally takes her to be his bride.  What I like about this movie, is that it reminds me that I have a charming Prince, Jesus (or Yahshua), who loves me and will one day take me home with Him to be His bride!  His home is Heaven – for real!  And He has promised to prepare a place for me there:

Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
(Joh 14:1-3)

Wanna go???  It’s easy – your ticket is already paid for!  Jesus paid the price Himself for you, because He loves you, too, just like He loves me!  All you have to do is just accept your ticket – just reach out and take it – He’s there holding it out to you!

Heaven is such a perfect place that no sin or evil is allowed.  Unfortunately, each of us has sinned and fallen short of His glory.  That’s why Jesus had to pay a high price for our ticket to enter Heaven.  He took the punishment our sin earned – death – a horrible death of being whipped and beaten and then crucified.  Even though He was without sin, He paid for our sin so that He could invite us to join Him in His home – heaven.  He got the victory over death when God raised Him to life again after three days.  So, now He can offer you eternal life in heaven with Him!  Just accept this free gift – this free ticket to heaven – by praying this simple prayer:

Dear Jesus, I have sinned and done evil.  Thank You for paying the price for my sin with Your death.  I don’t want to sin any more, and I want to live forever with You in heaven!   Please forgive me and come to live in my heart right now!

He loves you so much!  Won’t you accept His invitation?
