Why So Dry?

Why No Rain?

Why No Rain?

This was in my daily Bible reading this morning:

And it shall come to pass, if ye shall hearken diligently unto my commandments which I command you this day, to love the LORD your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul, That I will give you the rain of your land in his due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that thou mayest gather in thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil. And I will send grass in thy fields for thy cattle, that thou mayest eat and be full. Take heed to yourselves, that your heart be not deceived, and ye turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them; And then the LORD’S wrath be kindled against you, and he shut up the heaven, that there be no rain, and that the land yield not her fruit; and lest ye perish quickly from off the good land which the LORD giveth you.  (Deu 11:13-17)

Notice that if we are deceived into worshipping other gods, God will shut up heaven and not give us rain.

Satan / Lucifer / the devil is a liar and one of his main tactics is deception.  Think about it – if he just said, “Hey, all you people, just come follow me and let’s all go into the lake of fire together!”  he probably wouldn’t have many takers.  But he doesn’t do that, he deceives people into following him instead of God.

Pro 26:2  As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come.

The Bible says that the curse does not come without cause, and no rain is definitely part of the curse.  So, if we are experiencing lack of rain, which is part of the curse, then we need to find the cause.

Have we been deceived into worshipping other gods, and is God not giving us rain because of that?

Let the Glory of the LORD be Over All the Earth!

I awoke and looked at the clock – it was 3:33 am.  I had been dreaming about walking in the pasture and seeing pendant flags and banners in bright rainbow colors with “HalleluYah” written across them in bold black letters.  The pendant flags and banners were tied to mesquite and other trees and undulating in the light breeze.  Bright rainbow colored flags proclaiming praise to Yahweh, the LORD, the Creator of the Universe and the Owner of all the earth and everything in it!  HalleluYah means “Praise you Yahweh”.

HalleluYah!  I’m going to make some and see this dream come true!

Another thing that has been on my mind – gate posts. God told the children of Israel to write His commandments on their door posts and on their gates.   He also told them to take the blood of the Passover Lamb and sprinkle it on their posts.  So, the blood of the Passover Lamb was sprinkled over the laws of Moses.  Since Jesus is the “Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world”, and we have all sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God by breaking His commandments, then these posts were a perfect picture of the salvation available to us through Jesus’ blood poured out for us on the cross of Calvary.  HalleluYah!     Check out the verses below for confirmation:

Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes. And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. And thou shalt write them upon the door posts of thine house, and upon thy gates:   (Deu 11:13-20)

Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said unto them, Draw out and take you a lamb according to your families, and kill the passover. And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the bason, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the bason; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning. For the LORD will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the LORD will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you.
(Exo 12:21-23)

John 1:29  The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

1 John 3:4  Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

Isn’t God GOOD?   Thank you, Abba, for Your mercy on us!
